Cultivating a sense of belonging through good design
The build to rent market has a very bright future, and recent statistics show that this industry shows no signs of abating, with approximately 195,000 new B2R homes in development in the UK. We could argue about the forces behind this, but to both tenants and developers the advantages of this new industry are extensive.
Key to successful B2R is a balance of well maintained and run properties, with a community hub that boasts great design. Living spaces need to be modern and fresh but also in an adaptable palette for those living within. For the developer, finishes need to be durable, well priced and easy to maintain. Community spaces need to be attractive centres, readily luring residents to these areas so they can really enjoy and engage beyond their apartment walls. We spend a fair amount of time in Italy searching for the unique and beautiful and we tend to find ourselves sitting to ponder in the pretty Giardinetti dotted about the towns and cities we visit.
