WAREHOUSE ADMINISTRATOR

Based a short drive from Junction 11 M40, Banbury

Claybrook Studio is a retailer of distinctive wall and floor tiles, bathrooms and paint. Our warehousing, distribution and main headquarters are on the Beaumont Industrial Estate in Banbury, Oxfordshire, alongside a retail store at the same location. We sell from our website and, as well as the store in Oxfordshire, operate a second store in East London. Our clients include homeowners, contractors, designers and architects. Due to positive growth, we are now looking for a Warehouse Administrator to join our small but dynamic team, reporting to the Head of Operations.

The role will be Monday to Friday with some flexibility on hours, but is likely to be 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm.

Duties will include

  • Booking on orders to their relevant couriers.
  • Dealing with stock transfers and stock audits and checks.
  • Contacting our customers to book in deliveries with them.
  • Liaising with logistics operators and customs to plan and track shipments, and ensure goods are cleared through customs.
  • Liaising with couriers and hauliers to organise incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Managing incoming stock deliveries with the warehouse team.
  • Resolving issues with customers, shippers and couriers about damaged goods/late deliveries.
  • Uploading data and stock due dates onto our software system (training provided).
  • Support all administrative duties within the operational team around the needs of the business day to day.

Requirements

  • You must have a good standard of both oral and written communication skills. Our customers, both the buyers of our goods and the collection points and businesses that support us, are our top priority and you may be the first human point of contact with them from Claybrook Studio. You will therefore be expected to represent our brand values including informal but exemplary service.

THE CLAYBROOK STORY

The Claybrook crew formed like many energetic British start-ups; around a kitchen table and some tea. One thing became clear very quickly - it was time for a change. It was time to break the decades long cycle of being overcharged for commodity product when we knew how to provide better for less. Time to focus on the customer experience; to make it easier for customers at the front end, and build systems backwards from that. Time to bypass costly middlemen and use our expert eye to pick the best of the best. To have free samples, free or low-cost delivery charges, and always someone on the end of the phone.
