Brookhaven Dado

In rooms with taller ceilings it can be highly effective to finish the tiling with a dado, leaving space above to paint the wall in a complementary or contrasting shade. Or use the tile to separate the space, adding architectural detailing to rooms that require a little more panache.

1. Complementary base tiles and mosaics are available All stones will exhibit their own unique characteristics and natural variation from tile to tile. Brookhaven marble varies in its intensity and shade of veining. This is a natural characteristic of Brookhaven making each installation beautifully unique. Requires sealing before grouting, so we recommend LTP Natural Finish Stone Sealer. We also recommend using Ardex Flexible Grout for Joints 1-4mm in white. Marble profiles are not suitable for external mitres. We recommend using a flat-bed water-cooled tile saw, fitted with a clean, sharp and smooth continous blade to cut these tiles. Where possible try to avoid cuts less than 15mm. If unavoidable, cut wider and then sand to required size with tile file, grinding stone or wet and dry sandpaper.  Always try to ensure enough stone is ordered to complete your project, as subsequent orders may be from a different batch. Tiles should be unpacked, checked and dry laid prior to installation, so that any natural variation is evenly distributed across the floor/wall.
